ReflectUS, an ETH Zurich Spin-Off project, in collaboration with the Computer-assisted Applications in Medicine Group, is developing a new diagnostic device for breast cancer based on innovations in ultrasound imaging. We are searching for a motivated candidate willing to join our team as:

Market researcher in translational MedTech project (internship)

The tasks involve testing the market viability for different clinical use cases of a medical device. The candidate will analyze market reports and conduct interviews with potential medical customers (gynecologists, radiologists) and stakeholders (medical insurance, regulatory bodies). Subsequently, the candidate will also assist in interpreting and validating collected data and contribute to the creation of reimbursement strategies and business forecasts for each clinical use case. The candidate will also contribute to create the marketing documentation and corporate identity of the spin-off.

To carry out the above tasks, we are looking for a candidate with a medical background (for instance, a medical student with radiology background, or Bsc/Msc Biomedical Technology). The successful candidate is a fluent writer and speaker in German and English (French is a plus), with excellent communication skills. Prior experience in medical economics, clinical studies and/or medical imaging technologies (ultrasound, X-ray) is preferential. Knowledge in medical statistics and software processes is a plus. A self-starter goal-oriented personality rounds up the profile.

Preferred starting date is as soon as possible. We offer an employment of 3 to 6 months, with possibilities for extension. The project is also offered as a Master Thesis or MD thesis.
